Overview
Head of Infrastructure Projects role at Cavendish Nuclear (part of Babcock). Lead the transformation and optimisation of critical infrastructure that supports the UK's defence capabilities. This high-impact leadership position supports readiness for the Dreadnought programme and ensures seamless transitions of major projects into operational maintenance, contributing to national security and the future of defence engineering.
Location: Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute. Role type: Full time / Permanent. On-site presence is required with hybrid working options.
Responsibilities
* Deliver infrastructure change projects that enhance maintenance delivery and operational efficiency.
* Lead readiness initiatives for the Dreadnought and Project Euston programmes.
* Close out Infrastructure Maintenance CPARs and coordinate with compliance teams.
* Manage handovers from major projects into maintenance operations.
* Collaborate with the Asset Management function to embed strategic asset management practices.
Essential Experience
* Deep understanding of Clyde’s operational outputs and strategic asset plans.
* Strong knowledge of safety management and compliance practices.
* Experience with data optimization and Power BI for enhanced reporting.
* Familiarity with ERP systems and configuration datasets.
* Commercial and financial acumen, including business process awareness.
Qualifications
* Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
