Interim Finance Lead Support - Deputy 151
My client is a Local Authority in Berkshire who are looking to appoint an Interim Finance Lead Support / Deputy 151 on an interim basis. Spencer Clarke Group are working in collaboration with the council to recruit to the post.
About the role:
Based in Berkshire (Hybrid):
As a member of the Finance Service Management Team, to contribute to the management and direction of the service area including contributing to the implementation, monitoring and review of the Finance Service. To deputise for the Council's s151 Officer as and when required.
What's on offer:
Salary: £660 - £850 per day, inside IR35.*negotiable based on experience

Contract type: Contract (37 hrs a week)
Hours: 09:00 -17:00 Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
Be responsible for providing high level advice to senior officers and Members on Financial Management, Financial Planning.
Ensure all financial statutory reporting obligations are fulfilled.
To ensure the delivery of annual billing of business rates, Council Tax and benefits across the district.
Continuously reviewing opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team including the delivery of continuous improvement and best value.
About you:
You will have the following experiences:
Fully qualified Accountant - CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA.
Significant post qualification experience, part of which has been in a management capacity.
in-depth knowledge of the legislative and other matters facing local government in the department service areas, both at present and in the future.
