What we're looking for:
NMC registration
Significant experience in mental health nursing
Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Desirable
Experience working with young people
Knowledge of specialist eating disorders or first episode psychosis
Leadership and management experience
You will be working initially as a Mental Health Practitioner Band 6 (see the Job description). Our aim is to support you in going through your Non-Medical Prescriber qualifications to enable you to move in to a Band 7 role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, with Non-Medical prescribing.
Band 7 Tasks
Clinical Practice: Assessing, diagnosing, and managing a diverse range of mental health conditions in young people.
Prescribing: Independently prescribing medications within your scope of practice, ensuring safe and effective treatment (On completion of training)
Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues in Specialist Eating Disorder Services and First Episode Psychosis teams to provide seamless care.
Supervision and Mentorship: Supporting, supervising, and mentoring junior staff members, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Training and Development: Actively participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Service Improvement: Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of our services.
