Job Description
As a project manager for customer equipment, facilities, or infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for project delivery, P&L accountability, and customer satisfaction through managing activities and resources. The role impacts departmental operations and involves planning and execution within standard practices. Some judgment is required, typically guided by procedures.
Role Purpose
This is a key customer-facing Project Management role within GE Power Conversion UK Ltd’s Marine business unit. We welcome experienced project managers and also consider less experienced applicants eager to develop into this role. Successful candidates will build effective relationships with customers, team members, and suppliers to achieve project objectives.
Essential Responsibilities
The Project Manager will:
1. Manage one or multiple projects ensuring contractual obligations are met on time and within budget.
2. Serve as the primary customer contact, fostering strong relationships and high satisfaction.
3. Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver project goals efficiently.
4. Coordinate with GE units and external suppliers.
5. Manage commercial, technical, and quality issues.
6. Create and maintain project plans and track progress.
7. Ensure timely billing and cash collection.
8. Comply with GE processes and procedures.
9. Handle project claims, extensions, and negotiations.
10. Conduct project reviews to monitor progress, manage costs, identify risks, and forecast performance.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
Minimum HNC in a relevant subject or equivalent. Experience in project management, commercial, or quantity surveying roles. Ability to interface with customers and manage project finances effectively.
