Description
The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:
* Preparing and delivering monthly management accounts for key cost centres
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for central overheads
* Producing financial commentary to explain performance trends to senior stakeholders
* Maintaining accurate general ledger records, accruals, and prepayments
* Supporting the audit process with timely and accurate reporting
* Collaborating cross-functionally with operational and commercial teams
* Identifying and driving improvements in reporting and controls
Profile
The successful Management Accountant will be:
* Part-Qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) - study support available
* 2+ years' experience in a management accounting or financial reporting role
* Confident Excel user (pivot tables, lookups, ideally basic macros)
* Comfortable working independently and partnering with senior non-finance stakeholders
* Eye for detail and a strong sense of ownership over deadlines
* A proactive approach to process improvement and problem-solving
