Major UK Provider of Radio Systems.
UK Wide.
Salary £40-45K Basic + Car/Car Allowance + Benefits.

Our client has the largest dedicated radio engineering team in the UK. Each of their staff member is trained by every leading manufacturer to the highest standard and provided with the latest DMR and Tetra test sets to ensure even the latest equipment can be repaired to component level. With continued expansion they are now seeking a Field Radio Engineer to join this thriving business.
The Role
The Vehicle Installation Manager will be responsible for conducting vehicle surveys and assessments, designing vehicle installation plans, and overseeing the professional installation of communication and ancillary equipment, whilst also getting involved when required. This role includes leading and developing a vehicle installation team while ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry standards. Additionally, the role will require travel to customer sites across the UK and potentially overseas to support projects when required.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Surveys & Design
* Conduct vehicle surveys and assessments to determine the feasibility of installations.
* Costings for materials and labour to support the Sales Account Manager in providing a competitive quotation to obtain the business.
* Produce and maintain supporting publications, including installation guides and specifications.
Installation & Quality Assurance
* Perform high-quality installations of communications and associated equipment in line with customer requirements.
* Ensure all installations meet professional sign-off standards, adhering to safety and compliance regulations.
* Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues to maintain operational effectiveness.
* Travel to customer sites across the UK and potentially overseas to support vehicle installation projects when required.
Training & Development
* Provide training and mentorship to field engineers, fostering skills development in vehicle installations.
* Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of a dedicated vehicle installation team as the business grows.
* Establish best practices and standard operating procedures for vehicle installations.
Leadership & Growth
* Support the growth of the vehicle installation division by implementing efficient processes and high-quality standards.
* Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure seamless integration of vehicle solutions.
* Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and professionalism.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience in vehicle installations, particularly in radio communications, telemetry, or related technology.
* Strong technical knowledge of automotive electrical systems and installation practices.
* Ability to conduct vehicle assessments and produce technical documentation.
* Experience in mentoring and training junior engineers.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high installation standards.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
* Willingness to travel across the UK and overseas when required.
* A full UK driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications
* FCS1362 accreditation or equivalent.
* Experience working with emergency services, MOD, or commercial fleet installations
