Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Duties
* Assist residents with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in maintaining their daily routines as outlined in their care plans.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
* Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
* Drive to various locations as required for home care visits or appointments.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents and team members.
* Good command of English, both spoken and written.
* Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for those required to travel between locations.
