Children's Entertainer (Freelance / Self-Employed) – Disco Daddy
Location: Wales
Pay: £45–£65 per hour (typically £90–£130 per party)

About Disco Daddy
Disco Daddy is an established, award-winning children's entertainment brand with over 20 years' experience delivering high-energy birthday parties, school discos, festivals and family events.
We're growing our team and are looking for confident, reliable entertainers who want flexible, well-paid work without having to find their own bookings.
All party enquiries, customer communication and bookings are handled centrally by Disco Daddy and allocated to entertainers. You are not expected to source, market or sell your own bookings — your role is to turn up and deliver a brilliant party.
The Associate is engaged as a self-employed contractor and is therefore responsible for providing their own equipment and approved Disco Daddy branding. For those who do not already have suitable equipment, support can be provided to get this in place.
The Role
As a Disco Daddy Children's Entertainer, you'll be booked to host:
· Children's birthday parties (ages 5–11)
· Disco-style games, dancing and interactive fun
· School, community and occasional festival events
You'll usually work solo, delivering parties of 1–2 hours, following Disco Daddy's proven party structure and guidance.
Pay & What You'll Earn
£45–£65 per hour, depending on experience and booking type
Typical party fee: £90–£130 per booking
Tips are often received directly from families
Additional pay for:
· Longer parties
· Travel outside core areas
· Last-minute cover
Payments are made promptly after each booking.
Availability
You must be reliably available at weekends (Saturdays and/or Sundays)
Work is offered on a flexible, zero-hours basis
Bookings are allocated based on availability, location and experience
There is no requirement to market yourself or source your own work.
Equipment & Kit
We aim to keep the role accessible:
Disco Daddy provides the party structure, music formats and guidance
Some bookings will use Disco Daddy-provided equipment
Entertainers with their own basic PA are welcome (not essential)
Exact setup expectations are discussed during onboarding.
Training & Support
Full induction and party structure training provided
Ongoing support, guidance and feedback
No entertainer is sent out unprepared
Previous children's entertainment experience is helpful but not essential if you have the right personality and attitude.
What We're Looking For
Confident, upbeat and great with children aged 5–11
Reliable, punctual and professional
Reliably available at weekends
Full UK driving licence & own transport
Willing to obtain a DBS check (or already hold one)
Great backgrounds include:
· Performing arts, singing, drama or dance
· Teaching, childcare or youth work
· Fitness, coaching or activity leading
