The Role: We're seeking a proactive Sub Agent to lead and deliver specific work packages on a nationally significant highways upgrade in Gloucestershire. This is an Outside IR35 contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Site & Team Management: Oversee direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring safe, efficient, and quality work.
Programme & Production: Manage section programmes, monitor progress, and optimize resources.
Technical & Quality: Review designs, produce LTQRs, and resolve site technical queries.
Commercial & Contractual: Track early warnings, NCRs, RFIs, and advise on liabilities.
Temporary Works: Manage designs, inspections, and permits for temporary works.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise effectively with clients, designers, and subcontractors.Requirements:
Civil Engineering Degree (or equivalent).
Proven Sub Agent/Senior Engineer experience on major highways/infrastructure projects.
Strong experience with earthworks and drainage.
Solid understanding of temporary works management and NEC contracts.
Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid highly desirable. UK Driving License.
