Halesbury is an all age 4-19 Special School for pupils with autism, complex communication and cognition and learning needs. We are accredited by the National Autistic Society and value the individuality of our pupils. Our mission statement: “Achieve, Believe and Challenge” provides us with our aims for all pupils and staff; Achieve - A Confident attitude towards life - To Feel proud of accomplishments - Reaching goals Believe - Proud to be who we are - The best that we can be - To Aim high and shine Challenge - The sky is the limit - Overcoming barriers - No target out of reach The Role: We are looking to appoint 2 Level 3 Teaching Assistants In order to apply for this vacancy, you must:- Hold a qualification of; Level 3 Teaching Assistant / NVQ / CACHE or equivalent Have experience working with children with SEN in a specialist educational setting and the ability to support pupils during emotional and behavioural crisis Ability to implement Autism friendly practices to support pupils within a class Only candidates meeting the above criteria will be considered for this post. Hours: 32.5 per week, term time only (39 weeks per year) Salary: £20,899.26 (which includes SEN 2 allowance of £1500.55) Location: Halesbury School, Feldon Lane, Halesowen, B62 9DR Closing date – Sunday 22nd June 2025 Interviews – Monday 30th June 2025 Start date – As soon as possible Please see the attached job description for further information.
