We are looking for an experienced Project Director to join our team working to deliver a large multi-discipline framework in the Inverness area. You will be delivering SSEN Onshore projects including substations, overhead lines, and UGC.
Role Responsibilities
* Responsible for the overall leadership, direction, management, and supervision of multi-disciplinary projects to appropriate health and safety, time, cost, and quality targets and provide strategic planning, leadership, and support to project operations.
* Implement a full risk and value engineering management process where all risks and cost savings opportunities are identified.
* Consult effectively with customers & stakeholders.
* Prepare and communicate financial reports and spreadsheets to stakeholders while vigorously managing project costs and ensure accurate expenditure tracking.
* Coach and develop project staff, addressing performance issues appropriately.
* Consult with customers and stakeholders, ensuring project imperatives are clearly communicated and maintaining strong customer relationships.
* Ensure all services and installations meet required standards and certifications while promoting service excellence, best practices, and sustainability in line with the Perfect Delivery philosophy.
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
* Display leadership skills alongside experience of delivering large scale projects.
* Experience within the Energy sector would be desirable.
* Requirements to be educated to a degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
* SSE Experience and Awareness

About The Energy Business Unit
We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators. Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying, and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair, and refurbishment services.
