As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning delays. Your role will be key in helping children achieve their full potential both academically and socially.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Supporting pupils with additional needs in the classroom and during break times.
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored learning plans.
* Promoting independence, confidence, and emotional well-being.
* Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
* Monitoring and recording pupil progress and feedback to the teaching team.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting).
* A calm, caring, and positive approach to supporting children's individual needs.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Flexibility and resilience when dealing with challenging behaviours.
* A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
Essential Requirements:
* All applicants must undergo an Enhanced DBS Check.
* Up-to-date training in Safeguarding, Prevent Duty, and FGM Awareness (or willingness to complete prior to starting).
* Right to work in the UK.
