How will you do it?
With a technical yet personable approach, you’ll inspire the pharmacy team around you, ensuring our standards reflect our care for patients. We aim to provide the very best service legally and ethically.
Accuracy and care define this role. You will oversee the safe and effective operation of the pharmacy and healthcare business, leading the daily dispensary activities. You will be an expert in the technical aspects of medicine supply while delivering excellent patient care.
Guiding and supporting your pharmacy team and collaborating closely with the Pharmacist and Store Leader, you’ll play a key role in growing our business.
What you’ll be doing day to day.
You will help ensure the safe and effective running of the pharmacy and healthcare business, leading daily dispensary operations.
Your duties will include:
* Responsibility for legal, safe & ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
* Achieving targets for delivery of items and services income.
* Complying with legal and professional standards and guidelines in Boots.
* Engaging with customers to ensure they leave informed and confident about their healthcare, coaching team members to do the same.
* Seeking opportunities to collaborate with external stakeholders to secure locally commissioned services and promote services and items.
* Ensuring efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.
* Ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and checking prescriptions.
What you’ll need to have.
We offer an exciting career opportunity to continue your professional and pharmacy journey. You must have an NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent), and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
We value genuine passion for customer care, leadership in the dispensary team, and strategic contribution to pharmacy operations.
Additional qualifications include completing a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) or equivalent. You may also pursue becoming an Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) with our support, which can enhance your career and benefits.
