Financial Accountant
Location: Bathgate, Scotland
Job Summary; Onsite Monday – Friday 37.5 P/W.
Catalent Pharma Solutions is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our high-performing Finance team at our state-of-the-art Bathgate site. This is a key position at the heart of the Finance function, supporting strong financial control, robust processes, and high-quality reporting across the business.
Working in a fast-paced GMP manufacturing environment, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement across finance processes and systems.
The Role:
1. Managing and improving working capital, including cash flow forecasting processes.
2. Overseeing the shared service accounts payable process.
3. Ensuring all tax matters (VAT, Corporation Tax, capital allowances) are completed accurately and in line with statutory requirements.
4. Reconciling intercompany transactions and balances on a monthly basis.
5. Delivering fully reconciled monthly trial balances.
6. Supporting year-end audits and the preparation of statutory accounts for UK entities.
7. Developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls.
8. Building strong financial business partnering relationships across global finance and operational teams.
9. Supporting capital investment planning, forecasting, and reporting.
10. Providing accurate financial information and support to meet internal and client requirements.
The Candidate:
11. Part-qualified AAT or ACCA (or equivalent).
12. Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including US GAAP.
13. Understanding of UK tax legislation (Desirable).
14. Experience in financial and management accounting.
15. Advanced Excel skills; experience with JDE preferred.
16. Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
17. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
18. Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven approach.
19. High level of integrity and attention to detail.
20. Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
21. Willingness to work on-site, with occasional travel as required.
