Responsibilities
* Perform mammography imaging procedures according to Imaging Department Protocols and Radiologist instructions
* Verify exam orders, identify patients using two identifiers, provide exam education, and obtain informed consent as required
* Review patient medical history and ensure prior studies are available before submitting to radiologist interpretation
* Adhere to FDA guidelines for the mammography section and maintain ALARA radiation safety standards
* Operate and troubleshoot equipment, initiating service calls for any malfunction beyond routine maintenance
* Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record, including procedure charging and inventory management; participate in QA, accreditation activities, and quality improvement initiatives
* Provide training or cross‑training as needed; support other modalities and assist with clerical duties or patient transport when required
Requirements
* ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M)
* Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire)
* Minimum two (2) years of experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist; cross‑training into modalities such as CT, MRI, and DEXA preferred
* Experience with electronic medical records, PACS, and RIS/HIS
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
* Ability to work in a fast‑paced imaging department within a short‑term acute care setting
* Successfully pass a background check and pre‑employment drug screen; complete Employee Health requirements prior to start
