Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Science to inspire students within our Science faculty starting September 2025. The successful candidate will teach Science to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, following the schemes of work, and serve as a positive role model to prepare students for life beyond school.
Department and Curriculum
The Science department at Stamford School promotes innovation, experimentation, and a discursive, investigative approach. All students study Science through Y11, with many taking the Edexcel IGCSE and others transitioning to the AQA GCSE suite. We actively participate in competitions and organize off-site excursions to enhance learning.
Candidate Profile
* A good honours degree in a related subject and a postgraduate certificate in education (QTS).
* Willingness to engage in Continuing Professional Development.
* Ability to inspire respect and credibility, influencing others positively in their subject area.
* Strong understanding of current issues related to young people's personal development.
* Commitment to promoting equality and inclusive teaching practices.
* Ability to motivate and empower students preparing for life beyond school.
* Excellent relationship-building skills with staff, students, and parents.
