Technical Sales Manager
Location: South Down
Salary: Up to £50,000 (depending on experience) + Car / Car Allowance
Energis is proud to partner with a well-established engineering company who are seeking a Technical Sales Manager to join their team at their South Down site. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded professional to take ownership of customer orders across Ireland, prepare quotations, and coordinate seamlessly with internal teams to ensure an exceptional customer journey from enquiry through to installation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Interpret client requirements and communicate clearly with the design team, presenting proposed designs and costings to clients.
2. Advise clients and engineering teams on any additional technical or project requirements.
3. Secure formal customer orders based on estimates provided.
4. Conduct or arrange final site surveys and liaise with the production team for scheduling.
5. Coordinate installation dates and confirm site needs, including workspace setup, HGV access, and power requirements.
6. Prepare and submit risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for approval.
7. Organise installation teams and ensure smooth project delivery.
8. Promote service, inspection, and maintenance offerings to clients.
Criteria
9. Proven experience in sales within manufacturing, engineering, or construction.
10. Good engineering knowledge; experience in lifting equipment or materials handling is highly desirable.
11. Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
12. Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
13. Proactive, team-focused, and customer-centric approach.
