This is a warm desk ready to go and you will take immediate ownership of a portfolio that generated £200k in personal earnings for the previous Partner. The Firm
The firm is led by a Director with an extensive pedigree in the London market, including senior leadership roles at top London firms. This high-level experience has shaped a boutique practice that punches significantly above its weight, handling City-grade work for global corporations. You’ll be joining a team of heavy hitters from top 20 firms.
The firm specialises in international mobility, providing a seamless blend of employment law, tax, immigration, and compensation services. They are a primary sub-contractor for top-tier US law firms and lead a premier referral network across Continental Europe, ensuring a constant stream of high-value, cross-border mandates. This work is top quality and international in scale – you will benefit from global exposure, a strong partner support structure and business knocking on your door.
The Role
As the Employment Partner, you will join the two other employment partners in leading and growing the firm’s employment practice. Your caseload will focus on International mobility and structuring, managing employment frameworks and dual-contract arrangements for talent moving into the UK and Europe. You will negotiate sophisticated executive advisory packages for global senior leaders, collaborate on incentives and benefits such as share schemes, and lead strategic employment projects including multi-jurisdictional redundancies and TUPE transfers.
You will inherit a settled £500k portfolio of corporate clients and senior executive mandates, providing an immediate and stable revenue stream. This is bolstered by an elite referral network, giving you access to a consistent pipeline of high-quality work from major US law firms and European affiliates. Within this structure, you will have true autonomy, operating in a nimble, entrepreneurial environment that allows for definitive, commercial advice without the friction of large-firm bureaucracy.
The Candidate
* An existing Employment Partner with experience advising corporate entities
* An entrepreneurial mindset with the desire to manage a high-earning, specialised desk
* You must possess the professional polish and confidence to deal with senior partners at top-tier US law firms, acting as a trusted extension of their service to global clients
