Supporting Procurement Managers, you’ll help develop smart, forward-thinking supplier strategies that align with customer priorities and unlock real value. From procuring essential packages to managing risk and building effective supplier relationships, your decisions will help keep the network running efficiently and sustainably. As a

Buyer, you’ll be a vital part of a dynamic procurement team helping to shape the future of the M25—one of the UK’s most important infrastructure projects. You’ll contribute to a high-performing, people-focused environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and growth. In this exciting and purpose-driven role, you will: Support procurement strategy and delivery

by assisting with tendering, supplier selection, market analysis, and risk/opportunity reviews. Evaluate and build supplier relationships

through commercial checks, past performance reviews, and a focus on value, quality, and service. Help shape procurement plans

and packaging strategies that are smart, efficient, and aligned with best practices from our Parent Companies. Maintain and manage the supplier database, including market insights, prequalification status, and bid performance tracking. Collaborate across teams, especially with Parent Company Procurement, to monitor key markets and commodities and apply shared insights. Develop Framework Agreements —from engagement and negotiation to pricing and recommendation—ensuring every deal delivers value. Champion supplier diversity and inclusion

by supporting local, diverse, and SME engagement strategies, and taking part in community outreach such as Meet the Buyer events. Promote innovation and improvement, fostering long-term supplier partnerships that drive continuous value for money and service excellence. Who We’re Looking For – Key Requirements

NEC ECS and TSS subcontracts Familiarity with

e-tendering platforms

such as Jaggaer Strong grasp of

commercial impacts

accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail Basic understanding of
