Newly Qualified Social Workers - (ASYE Programme)

PO1 - £38,976 12 months fixed term Full time Location: Richmond and Wandsworth

Other essential information: £2,000 salary increase on successful completion of your probation / ASYE period. £3,000 retention bonus (every 2 years of service)

About The Role

Key aspects of the role include:

* Undertaking Care Act assessments to identify needs, strengths and risks
* Developing and reviewing support plans that are person‑centred and outcome‑focused
* Applying the Mental Capacity Act, including capacity assessments and best‑interest decision‑making
* Supporting and responding to safeguarding concerns to protect adults at risk
* Working in partnership with residents, carers and professionals to deliver holistic support
* Embedding reflective practice through regular supervision and learning opportunities
* Demonstrating a commitment to continued professional development (CPD) through the ASYE programme
* Applying social work values, legislation and guidance in practice
* Developing confidence in decision‑making in both routine and complex situations
* Contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

* Degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification)
* Eligible for or registered with Social Work England
* Understanding of key legislation including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks
* Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
* Willingness to learn, develop and engage with the ASYE programme
* Commitment to delivering person‑centred, strengths‑based practice
