Overview
Sports Coach role at a Secondary Alternative Provision in Blackburn, supporting pupils who benefit from a tailored and nurturing educational approach.
Responsibilities
* Deliver structured and engaging sports sessions throughout the school day
* Encourage physical fitness, teamwork, and personal development in students
* Provide general classroom support and assist with Teaching Assistant duties when needed
* Build strong, supportive relationships with students who may present challenging behaviour
* Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to create a positive and safe environment
About You
* Experienced in sports, fitness, youth work, or education
* Confident with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
* Adaptable, calm under pressure, and committed to supporting young people
* Willing to take on general TA responsibilities across the school day
* A background in education or previous experience working in an Alternative Provision, PRU, or SEMH setting is highly desirable.

* Location: Blackburn
* Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 3:20pm; Friday 8:00am – 2:30pm
* Pay: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
* Start Date: ASAP
