In the UK, we have a key focus in the Nuclear sector, contributing to groundbreaking projects, such as Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC).
Civil Project Engineer
As a Civil Project Engineer you'll bring your technical and operational expertise to support on the Civil branch of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project. You'll play a key role by ensuring the initial reference configuration meets the highest quality standards. You'll validate and refine input data from HPC to make sure it aligns with SZC's requirements, while also helping to identify and resolve issues within the Civil scope.
Some of the main responsibilities of the Civil Project Engineer will include:
Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives within the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project, sharing learnings with Sizewell C (SZC) and proposing practical solutions (e.g., development of the Standards Field Solutions concept).
Maintain site configuration across key project phases
Support the Civil branch by ensuring the initial reference configuration - based on the latest and most relevant HPC deliverables—meets the highest quality standards.
Manage engagement with IT systems and tools, ensuring alignment with process and data management requirements.
Address and resolve issues within the Civil scope, following the delivery of manufactured or fabricated equipment to site, managing associated risks and volumes effectively.
Resolve mechanical–civil interface challenges on site, with a particular focus on tolerance issues arising from pre-cast components.
Lead the definition and implementation of Standard Field Solutions for the Civil scope, ensuring alignment with established approaches used in the Civil discipline.
Deliver replication activities within the scope, with a focus on replication planning and implementation for SZC.
Build and maintain strong relationships with project managers, engineering teams, and other key stakeholders across the delivery programmes and the Technical Directorate to ensure effective coordination and knowledge sharing.

Strong project management, project engineering, and technical coordination capabilities.
Background in civil engineering for large-scale industrial plants.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related discipline
Previous experience working on Hinkley Point C (HPC) or other EPR projects .
Knowledge of engineering principles specific to EPR projects, including a detailed understanding of EPR design.
Experience in pre-tender and tender processes for procuring design, manufacturing, or installation contracts for industrial equipment.
Awareness of commercial considerations in the delivery of major projects.
Reside locally to Bridgwater or be prepared to relocate, as this permanent role does not include travel expense coverage.
