The Role:
The company is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to support its regulatory compliance processing team, with particular focus on Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) applications and ongoing regulatory obligations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring organisational adherence to all applicable regulations and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and manage FCA authorisation applications (including SMCR, VOPs, ARs, etc.)
* Maintain up-to-date expertise on FCA rules, guidance, and requirements
* Monitor and evaluate regulatory developments, communicating relevant implications to the business
* Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls
* Liaise with the FCA and other regulatory bodies as necessary
* Review and draft compliance-related policies and procedures
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in a compliance role within a regulated environment
* In-depth understanding of FCA requirements
* Practical experience handling FCA applications and regulatory submissions
* Strong written and verbal communication abilities
* Excellent attention to detail and effective management of multiple deadlines
A background in insurance and/or mortgages would be ideal, but not essential.
