Job Overview

The Explorers Group are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner (s) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in a nursery setting and possess strong communication skills in English. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality childcare and fostering a nurturing environment for young learners.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting children's development and well-being. We strive to provide outstanding opportunities for our children and families, providing a safe, caring, welcoming environment. All our teaching is through play, free-flow exploration and real-life experiences.

Working on one of our three nursery's, all rated as GOOD we are looking to expand our teams.

We have availability across our settings which include

* Montessori Explorers - Wylde Green
* Sunrise Day Nursery - Boldmere
* Little Explorers - Streetly

The responsibilities include:

* Keep positive relationships in the early years setting
* To ensure the safeguarding of our children through following policies and procedures
* Promote parent partnership
* Promote the safety, wellbeing and health of the children within room
* Ensure the development, learning, and play within the room
* Have a child centred approach
* Maintain children's records.
* Be a key person building positive relationships with the children and families
* Fill in necessary paperwork associated with your role; time out logs, daily feed back, risk assessments, rotas etc

Essential criteria/ taught

* Knowledge of the EYFS -
* Relevant experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential
* Level 3 Childcare qualification
* Knowledge of Health and Safety
* Knowledge of key worker systems
* Ability to follow policies and procedures
* Able to work on own initiative
* Excellent understanding of child development

Other Skills

* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire both children and colleagues.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Recent OFSTED 2023

Staff help children feel emotionally secure and place a high priority on establishing close relationships with them to help them feel safe…They provide a rich quality learning environment, which quickly captures children's curiosity and, consequently, children show high levels of engagement.

Staff speak highly of the support they receive. The manager places a high focus on monitoring, coaching and training new staff to help them improve quickly and sustain the good practice.

The role will contribute to develop a deep respect and love for children and will now be able to expand on this as they work with parents and colleagues to ensure the very best provision for the children. Create a harmonious and satisfying working environment for the benefit of the nursery.

* Maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that complies with health and safety regulations

Pay: From £12.21 per hour
