The Housing Options Team are responsible for advising customers on their housing options if they are homeless or about to be homeless. The Homelessness Prevention Officer will undertake responsibilities including working with households who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to retain their accommodation or secure alternative accommodation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Advising customers on housing options and eligibility.
* Working with households to secure and retain accommodation.
* Conducting interviews, investigations and negotiations with housing providers.
* Maintaining detailed records and reports.
* Collaborating with partner organisations to support clients.
Qualifications and experience:
* Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience of conducting interviews, investigations & negotiations.
* Strong attention to detail.
A DBS check is required for this post.
