Operations role supporting high-quality food and beverage service within a premium leisure club, delivering a welcoming and professional experience for members. The Wellington College Health & Fitness Club is a premium leisure and wellbeing facility offering high-quality facilities and services to members, pupils, staff and visitors. Situated on the edge of the Wellington College estate, the Health & Fitness Club provides a welcoming setting for members and staff. We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Club Lounge Lead to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the Club Lounge and help deliver a consistently high standard of food and beverage service. This role plays an important part in maintaining the welcoming atmosphere, presentation and service quality that members expect, particularly during busy trading periods and events. Working for 25 hours per week as a senior presence on duty during allocated shifts, you will support the running of the Club Lounge by ensuring agreed procedures are followed and standards are upheld. You will contribute to creating a positive experience for members and guests through attentive service, calm problem-solving and a professional approach. While this role does not include line management or budget responsibility, it does require confidence, initiative and sound judgement when supporting service delivery on shift. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and safety across the Club Lounge, working in line with health and safety, food hygiene, safeguarding and licensing procedures. You will also support opening and closing routines, operate tills accurately, assist with stock replenishment and complete required records in accordance with agreed processes. During events and functions, you will contribute to smooth delivery by working flexibly and supporting colleagues as needed. This role would suit someone with experience in a customer-facing hospitality or leisure environment who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in providing excellent service. You will be organised, dependable and comfortable working independently within established guidelines, while remaining responsive to the needs of members and the wider Club operation.
