What your typical day will look like
Your main focus will be to deliver exceptional service to our clients and the best care for their pets, acting as a link between clients and the clinical team. Building strong relationships with clients, their pets, and the practice team is essential to your success.
During each client visit, you will ensure their satisfaction and that they leave with confidence in the service received, looking forward to their next visit. You will greet clients, offer support, guidance, and expertise, manage payments, and handle future bookings confidently. The role involves coordinating daily routines using our online booking system, so computer literacy is required.
Working hours
This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week with the following shifts:
* One week of 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday
* One week of 12:15 pm to 8:15 pm
* One in three weekends, with a day off the following week
Attributes required
* You are the friendly and welcoming face for clients and their pets upon arrival.
* You keep yourself fully informed about practice services and additional offerings to provide guidance.
* You remain calm, attentive, and focused on clients’ needs.
* You bring enthusiasm and passion for service, combined with a love of pets.
* You can handle various situations, from comforting clients receiving bad news to celebrating a puppy’s first vet visit.
* Your personality is infectious, helping create a welcoming atmosphere in the practice.
Previous experience in a receptionist role, preferably in a veterinary setting, is desirable.
