Classic Car Technician - Abingdon
1. Salary: Starting salary negotiable pending experience/skill-set.

Our client, a leading performance automotive company specialising in restoring and rebuilding classic British sports cars, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician to join their team at their head office in Abingdon.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager and working as part of a long-standing team, your key responsibilities will include:
4. Assemble and fit components using hand tools and power tools to create finished products.
5. Understand and diagnose running issues.
6. Create and run wiring in basic circuits throughout vehicles.
7. Assemble, diagnose and reassemble engines and gearboxes.
8. Perform mechanical procedures, to include servicing and general maintenance.
9. Have a good understanding of mechanical engineering.
10. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and work towards solutions.
11. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
To be eligible, you will have strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles (ideally similar classic sports cars) with the ability to learn, diagnose and rectify faults/faulty components, plus the ability to reassemble vehicles and build engines and gearboxes. Our client has stressed an excellent attention to detail that goes above and beyond most garages and a commitment to quality workmanship. You will be solutions-focused with an unparalleled desire and passion for the work you carry out. You will need to hold a UK driving licence with minimal points, be a committed individual and a good team player.
