We are currently seeking an Applications Technologist to join a global innovator in UV-based disinfection and treatment technologies, based in Berkshire. As an Applications Technologist, your responsibilities will include: Develop and refine applications for UV equipment across a range of water, air, surface, and process use cases. Conduct research, literature reviews, and on-site practical studies with partners worldwide. Perform computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations using ANSYS to optimize system performance. Collect, analyse, and present data from trials and modelling activities. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-focused insights. Support the creation of technical and commercial materials for internal and external audiences. Identify emerging application opportunities and contribute to prioritisation of R&D efforts. As an Applications Technologist, You will have: Degree or PhD in Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline. Experience with CFD, MATLAB, Python, or other computer-based modelling tools. Strong research, data analysis, and technical communication skills. Ability to manage and perform practical on-site studies. Collaborative, customer-focused mindset. Experience with ANSYS Fluent. Knowledge of UV disinfection, water processes, and photobiological/photochemical phenomena. Scripting for data processing and automation.
