Senior Support Worker Lead, Empower, Inspire! Location: Cannock, Staffordshire Salary: £13.00 £13.50 per hour Hours: Full-time & Part-time positions available Are you ready to take the next step in your care career? We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our team supporting young adults with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a fantastic opportunity to combine hands-on support with leadership responsibilities, helping to shape positive outcomes and guide your team. What Youll Do as a Senior Support Worker in Cannock: Lead by Example: Provide direct support to individuals while guiding and mentoring Support Workers in best practice. Empower Independence: Support young adults in developing life skills, from preparing meals to managing finances. Coordinate Care: Oversee personalised care plans, ensuring individual needs, aspirations, and goals are met. Health & Safety: Administer medication safely, support with medical appointments, and ensure safeguarding is prioritised. Team Support: Assist with rota planning, shift leadership, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Promote Inclusion: Encourage social engagement, education, training, and employment opportunities, while upholding equality and diversity. Professional Standards: Maintain accurate records, contribute to reviews, and work closely with families and external professionals. What Were Looking For: Previous experience supporting young adults with EBD (essential). Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team. Compassionate, resilient, and proactive approach. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. Knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour management, and care planning.
