Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated SEN Nursery Assistant to work 1:1 with a child with autism and speech and language delay. You will help the child access the EYFS curriculum and integrate with peers. This is a full time, long term role starting after October half term and lasting until the summer, in the first instance. About the Nursery: An inclusive, purpose-built early years setting that supports children with a wide range of additional needs. The team works closely with therapists and local professionals to deliver targeted support. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support based on EHCP goals Use visual aids, Makaton and sensory resources Build trust and communication with the child and their family Work closely with SENCO and external specialists Contribute to reviews, progress reports and planning Pre-requisites: Experience supporting children with SEN or complex needs Level 2 or 3 in Early Years or relevant SEN qualification Calm, patient and adaptable approach Understanding of autism and communication strategies All candidates who register with Simply Education are required to provide references for the previous 2 years of work, as well as complete an enhanced DBS check.
