Overview: As an HR Insight Analyst Apprentice, you will contribute to the overall success of the People agenda focusing on the analysis and interpretation of people data. In this role you will provide insights, accurate and timely reporting and analysis of people data to enable effective data driven decision making. This role will require you to work with volumes of confidential people data, creating and running reports and interpreting results. Key Responsibilities: General administration duties: [include but are not limited to:] Respond to correspondence, telephone calls, e-mails as required Support the People Team Manager in the continuous development of the People system (PHR) including; data cleansing to maintain the integrity of our people data Building and maintaining dashboard reporting to track key people metrics Dealing with adhoc insights requests and queries Collate data and prepare monthly reports Provide general support in line with any set SLA’s Explore opportunities to streamline current processes and develop new ways of working To work to tight deadlines and use initiative to prioritise work and to decide in which order to carry out tasks Desired skills and competencies: Enthusiastic and willingness to learn and work Accurate and confident in the use of data Proven interest in data analysis (this could be from formal studies, self study or the workplace) Demonstrate commitment to own self-development Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organisational and time management skills to ensure deadlines are met Thorough attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Also: Previous experience in analysing and interpreting data. (highly desirable) Proficient in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular). (highly desirable) Entry requirements: Standard entry: Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship/A-levels/BTEC, etc) OR equivalent work experience (typically two years in a relevant role) Plus: 5 GCSE's, including English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above Experience with using Excel and Microsoft products (or similar) You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
