Noah's Ark Day Nursery and Forest School is at the old, closed building of The Heathdale Nursery and school. It is situated on Sandy Lane, Accrington. The new owners are qualified and experienced Early Years staff. We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and enthusiastic Manager (part time) to join our amazing team. The mangers' role will suit an organised individual with a passion for high quality early years care and education.
The manager must have the following:
* Minimum - Level 3 Early Years qualification
* Minimum - 3 years childcare experience
* Some early years leadership experience
* Sound knowledge of the Ofsted Statutory framework which includes – The Learning and Development (EYFS, Learning Goals, Planning, Progression etc), Assessments, Safeguarding and Welfare, Policies and Procedures etc
* Safeguarding knowledge – (Child Protection, Risk Assessments etc).
* Be able to interact with parents, staff and other agencies.
* Co-ordinate professional leadership and management of the nursery, ensuring that all children receive the highest levels of care and education all the time.
* Some administrative experience – completing registration forms etc

The main purpose of the successful candidate is to:
* Be committed to Ofsted Requirements - safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Continually promote high standards all around the nursery environment including planning (learning and teaching in line with the EYFS) and all levels of care.
* Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are always maintained
Role and Responsibilities
The Nursery Managers role is to ensure all children receive high quality care, are kept safe and are provided with planned and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Some of the other responsibilities include:
* To ensure the nursery abides with all relevant legislation and frameworks which includes the local authority and OFSTED requirements.
* To ensure the provision is always of the highest quality and strive to attain it.
* Responsibility for the recruitment, observing and supervision of staff.
* To manage the nursery effectively and plan short term and long-term goals in liaison with the directors.
* To ensure that staff adhere to nursery policies, objectives and code of conduct.
* To ensure that the safeguarding of children and staff is our priority.
* To manage on a daily/weekly/yearly, the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage and improve where necessary.
* To regularly ensure that the nursery target occupancy levels are met and stable.
* To ensure risk assessments are a priority and continuously monitor the condition of the facility and equipment and organising maintenance, repairs and new items as required.
* To ensure parents day are organised and updating parents and Carers about their child's development, progress and behaviour.
* Answering enquiries from parents/carers about enrolment, payments and practices.
* To ensure other duties are fulfilled to effectively manage the nursery.
Schedule:
* 8 to 10 hour shift
* Monday to Friday (part time)
* No weekends
* Fully paid holiday entitlement – 4 weeks
