The Electrical Testing/Commissioning Engineer is responsible for performing electrical testing, inspection, and troubleshooting for the major projects division. This is a great opportunity to get into the Data Centre market. The engineer will conduct various tests and inspections, interpret results, identify issues, and recommend appropriate corrective actions. This opportunity will allow Electrical testers to make the next step in their career and will be put through the business’ AP certificate internally.
Role/Responsibilities:
* Design Review (scope gaps / clashes)
* Short term programming.
* Health & Safety (RAMS).
* Preparation/issuing all RFI.
* Issuing permits of works
* QA/QC
* Trouble shooting
* Document test procedures, results and recommendations
* Provide technical support
* Testing and commissioning of equipment
* Liaising with client team, main contractor and sub-contractors
* Progress meetings with sub-contractors, professional teams and client
The ideal candidate:
* Have your 2391 in Electrical testing
* 18th Edition
* Experience working on Data Centre or Critical Environment Projects
* Experience managing projects to a minimum of £2M
* A minimum 2 years’ experience in an engineering role
* The candidate will show longevity in previous employment
