We are looking for flexible, enthusiastic, committed and hardworking person to join our surgical ward Reception team. This environment will provide successful candidates with opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge on our busy surgical wards. Motivated candidates will be supported to work with the clinical teams providing administrative support to the medical staff.
Main duties will be to answer the telephone and carry out general reception duties.
This is a Substantive position offering afternoon shifts working on Surgical Short Stay Unit
Hours – Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday are hrs and
Wednesday hrs
28.5 hrs a week
Suitable candidates will ideally have
Excellent communication skills – friendly, professional, and approachable
Strong IT skills – comfortable using computers and administrative systems
A hardworking and proactive attitude – willing to support the team and help others
Flexibility – able to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
To provide high quality reception services for the Trust, maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and Customer Care, act as a first point of contact to patients, relatives or other members of the public.
The post holder is expected to organize their workload in accordance with the demands of the Department.
To co-ordinate his/her activities to ensure efficiency of service within the organization. He/she should exercise initiative and it is vital that confidentiality is maintained at all times.
He/she cover other receptionists duties when applicable due to staff shortage/sickness/annual leave.
