What's the job?
Role
As a Shift Lead you are pivotal in ensuring a safe working and shopping environment. You’ll oversee your shift to cultivate a great experience for both colleagues and customers daily. B&Q’s ambition is to make every customer count, so you’ll strive to ensure B&Q is a place colleagues love to work, and customers love to shop. In this role you will:
* Be the heartbeat of the store day‑to‑day and ensure operations run smoothly.
* Deploy colleagues correctly to ‘make every customer count’ throughout your shift.
* Be the first point of contact for customers and colleagues.
* Ensure our store is safe at all times.
What We Need
We’re looking for shift leads who possess the following qualities:
* Passionate about customers and doing the right thing for them.
* Have a global view and are not confined to specific areas of the store.
* Safety conscious with an eye for detail to spot compliance opportunities.
* Enjoy interacting with colleagues and working in a team.
* Bring energy to each day and motivate those around them.
* Confident, autonomous, and trusted to make decisions for the customer at pace.
