Multi-skilled Vehicle Bodyshop Technician required in Weston-super-Mare.

Our client, an accident repair centre in Weston-super-Mare, is currently looking to hire an experienced and professional Panel/MET Technician to join their busy bodyshop.
Reporting to the Bodyshop Manager, you shall be carrying out body repair work on customers’ vehicles to a high-quality standard, and your responsibilities shall include:
5. Remove damaged vehicle panels/parts for repair.
6. Smooth out minor dents in vehicle panels/parts.
7. Fill small holes or rusted areas with resin, body solder and other compound fillers.
8. Fit new panels where significant damage means the panel cannot be repaired.
9. Refinishing the surfaces of repaired panels/parts.
10. Cleaning the repair area and masking off other parts of the vehicle to be left alone.
11. Mechanical and Electrical Trim (MET).
12. Strip and fit body parts.
To be eligible, you will need to live within a reasonable commuting distance of Newport and have a UK driving license with minimal points. A relevant IMI/NVQ qualification in Vehicle Accident Repair would be highly advantageous; however, our client is open to considering candidates with no formal qualifications but a strong and steady level of practical experience in vehicle body repair.
