Job Title: Occupational Health Technician (Mobile Role) Location: Nationwide travel required (base location flexible) Salary: £25,000 £27,000 (depending on experience and qualifications) Job Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, typically between 8am6pm) Overview: A leading provider of occupational health services is seeking Occupational Health Technicians to join its expanding mobile health surveillance team. In this field-based role, you will travel across the UK using a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to deliver health assessments and screenings at various client sites. Full training is provided through a comprehensive induction program, along with continued mentoring and support. Key Responsibilities: Conduct a range of health surveillance activities, including: Audiometry (hearing tests) Spirometry (lung function tests) General health checks (e.g., blood pressure, height, weight, urinalysis) Accurately record clinical information and maintain medical records Ensure medical equipment is clean, safe, and fit for use Support health promotion activities when required Provide biometric screening data to assist clinical teams Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong time management and the ability to work independently Basic knowledge of GDPR and confidentiality in healthcare Friendly, professional, and approachable manner Full manual UK driving licence is essential Additional Details: Travel & Accommodation: Regular UK-wide travel with frequent overnight stays Ability to park a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) at or near home Overnight subsistence and accommodation provided Fuel card and company vehicle supplied (hire car may be used temporarily) Schedule & Flexibility: Typical schedule planned 6 weeks in advance Expect to be away from home approximately 3 weeks per month Home for weekends (Friday return) Benefits: Pension scheme with employer contributions (up to 6%) Life assurance 25 days annual leave bank holidays (increasing with service) Birthday day off (non-contractual benefit) Discounted gym membership Cycle to work scheme Health cashback plan
