Job Description CREDIT CONTROLLER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the full accounts receivable ledger, including invoicing, payment monitoring, and allocations.
Proactively chase overdue payments via phone, email, and written correspondence to minimise Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
Prepare and distribute regular aged debt reports and cash-forecast reports to management
Resolve invoice disputes and account queries through prompt, professional communication and collaboration with internal teams (e.g. sales, customer service) .
Conduct credit assessments for new and existing customers; set and monitor credit terms
Reconcile statement and ledger discrepancies, ensuring integrity of financial data
Assist with month-end processes, including posting receipts and preparing debtor schedules
Collaborate with Finance and Sales to identify and implement continuous process improvements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Proven background (1-5 years) in credit control or accounts receivable roles
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication abilities-particularly in dealing with overdue accounts
Proficiency in accounting systems
Excellent organisational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail .
A proactive mindset: confident working independently while also supporting a collaborative team environment
