We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a growing engineering team at a leading manufacturing site in Scunthorpe. This is a hands‑on role carrying out maintenance, fault‑finding, and improvement work to keep the plant running at peak performance.
The Role
* To carry out preventive maintenance tasks to ensure highest levels of equipment availability and to apply continuous improvement techniques.
* Attend and repair machinery breakdowns.
* Carry out planned and preventive maintenance.
* Ensuring “RCPS” techniques are being used following all plant breakdowns.
* Maintain PPM schedules and ensure plant areas are well organised.
* Work with production teams to meet output targets.
* Prove and validate equipment after maintenance work.
* Follow all site Health & Safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For
* Time served apprenticeship or equivalent.
* Strong electrical knowledge, including PLCs and AC/DC drives.
* Competent in fabrication, welding, and machining techniques.
* Skilled with hydraulics, pneumatics, and schematic drawings.
* Experience with PPM systems and fault finding.
* Confident working independently and prioritising tasks.
