We’re looking for a committed and empathetic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a warm, inclusive primary school, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a passionate team dedicated to providing personalised learning and care.
The Role:
Working 1:1 with a child who requires additional support (e.g. ASD, ADHD, Speech & Language, or SEMH needs)
Supporting emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction
Adapting learning materials to suit individual needs and learning styles
Liaising with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to track progress and set achievable goals
Creating a safe, trusting, and encouraging environment where the child can thrive
Who We're Looking For:
Experience working with children with SEND (in schools, care, or informal settings)
A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
Passionate about inclusion and helping every child access education
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or SEND-related training) are a plus – but not essential for the right candidate
Ideal For:
