Senior Mental Health Support Worker (Nights) Location: Fernside House, Armley, Leeds Hours: 39.37 hours per week Salary: £28,354.27 / £13.85 per hour £15.35 overtime On-Call paid £35 pw Shift Pattern: 7:45pm –7:45am, two-week rolling rota Week 1: Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun Week 2: Wed, Thu, Fri Active Pathways is delighted to be recruiting for a compassionate Senior Mental Health Support Worker to join our brand-new residential service, Fernside House, in Armley, Leeds. Fernside House will provide a safe and supportive home for men with enduring mental health needs, and we’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to person-centred, recovery-focused care. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing consistent, high-quality care while also supporting and guiding colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for residents. The Best Bits Extra paid day off every year for your birthday Annual leave starts at the statutory minimum 2 days, with extra days rewarded at 2 and 5 years’ service Refer a Friend scheme – earn up to £500 per referral Health Cash Plan – covers dental, optical, virtual GP, counselling, and includes discounted gym membership Key Responsibilities: Support and supervise Recovery Support Workers in assisting residents with daily living tasks to promote independence. Provide personal care and ensure high-quality care delivery in line with evidence-based practices. Act as a role model and take responsibility for the unit in the absence of management. Mentor new staff and participate in ongoing staff development through supervision and training. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the well-being of service users is at the forefront of care. Facilitate recovery-focused activities and support residents in achieving their personal goals. Handle medication and maintain accurate care records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Requirements: Experience working with individuals with mental health issues. A strong understanding of care plans and risk assessments. Excellent communication and leadership skills. A commitment to promoting recovery and social inclusion.
