Not every classroom looks the same.
And not every child learns the same way.
That’s where you come in.
We’re working with a number of mainstream primary schools across Lambeth with dedicated SEN units, and they’re looking for SEN Support Assistants who can bring patience, consistency, and a calm approach to support pupils who need a little extra help to thrive.
-----------------------------------
What the role looks like
* Supporting pupils within specialist SEN units inside mainstream schools
* Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
* Helping pupils with autism, ADHD, and additional learning needs access the curriculum
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
* Creating a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
Every day is different, but the impact you make is constant.
-----------------------------------
What schools are looking for
* Experience working with children or young people with SEND
* A calm, patient, and understanding approach
* Confidence in managing behaviour in a supportive, consistent way
* Someone who can build trust and strong relationships over time
* A genuine passion for helping every child feel seen and supported
You don’t need to have seen it all before, but you do need the right attitude.
-----------------------------------
Why you’ll love working with us
* Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella companies
* Long-term roles where you can build real connections
* Free CPD to support your development in SEND
* A consultant who understands the importance of the right match
* Opportunities in schools that truly value SEN support staff
-----------------------------------
This isn’t just about supporting learning.
It’s about helping a child feel safe, understood, and ready to take on the day.
