Front Office Manager
Location – The Gables Hotel, Falfield, Gloucestershire.
Hours – 37.5 hours
Days – Working 5 out of 7 days (including weekends and key holidays)
Rate of pay - £13.50

The Gables Hotel in Falfield is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Front Office Manager to lead our reception team and ensure every guest enjoys a warm and professional welcome.
About the Role
As Front Office Manager, you'll be the face of our hotel, overseeing the smooth running of reception operations – from check-in and reservations to guest relations and team management as well as overseeing our night team. You'll play a key role in ensuring our guests feel at home while supporting the hotel in meeting occupancy and service goals. The Front Office Manager also acts as the key liaison between the hotel's management team, the hotel's owners, and Best Western, ensuring consistent standards, operational excellence and strong guest satisfaction scores.
What You'll Do
* Oversee all aspects of front office operations including Reception and out Night Porter team.
* Deliver first-class guest service from arrival to departure.
* Manage reservations, room allocations, and billing processes.
* Handle guest queries, complaints, and special requests.
* Lead, recruit, team and develop the front office and night teams.
* Conduct team meetings, one to ones and performance reviews.
* Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless service.
* Support and work alongside the General Manager, providing regular operational updates.
* Strong financial and administrative skills, ensuring all tasks and policies are kept up to date.
* Support with reporting, budgeting, and revenue management.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Experienced in hotel reception or a supervisory role (3+ years).
* A natural leader with great communication and organisational skills.
* Calm under pressure, with a flair for problem-solving.
* Confident using hotel systems and Microsoft Office.
* Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
* Understanding of UK hospitality compliance requirements, cash handling and PCI standards.
