P&M Recruitment is working on behalf ofa leading privately owned Building Services Consultancy, they would like to appoint a permanent and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer based within their London Office.

The Role:The successful candidate will provide technical support, working collaboratively in a multi discipline team consisting of Buildings Services Designers, Revit Technicians, Building Physicist and Document Controllers. You will be involved with a wide range of projects across numerous market sectors, delivering services from feasibility through to detailed and fully co-ordinated design for installation purposes; RIBA stages 0 to 5.Duties will include:
* Deliver coordinated design working alongside colleagues from other disciplines
* Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current industry regulatory and design standards
* Supervise and mentor junior engineering staff and apprentices providing clear guidance and direction
* Assist with the setting of design strategy
* QA documents, design, drawings prior to issue, to ensure company standards are maintained
* Liaise professionally with clients, professional teams, contractors and staff of all levels
* Contribute to the delivery of projects leading small mixed discipline team
* Attend client, design team and project meetings
* Undertake feasibility studies and surveys
* Preparing load calculations and applying for utility connections
* Production of detailed mechanical services design
* Undertaking sub-contractor design drawing and technical submission reviews
* Undertaking site quality and legislative inspections and prepare associated reports
* Use industry design guides, British Standards and Building Regulations
Preferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
* Professional Membership desirable
* Degree or HNC/D in relevant subject or equivalent
* Proficient with relevant industry design software xxuwjjq
* Good time management organised with a flexible attitude
* Be a team player, but able to operate at an individual level
