Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for a Warhammer Editorial Manager to join our studio team to set the direction and ambition for the writing and editorial teams, and to deliver ever‑better Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar books and games through world class writing and editing.
Key Responsibilities
* Ultimate guardian of editorial quality for our products, defining quality standards and guiding the teams’ activities from research and development to IP ideation and mainline production.
* Set clear goals, monitor individual progress on projects, and coach, lead and inspire the background writing and editorial teams to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of their writing and editing across all modes of writing and product types.
* Work closely with key contacts in the studio, particularly our creative leads, to gain key information and ensure the correct IP, tone and atmosphere are being delivered and presented in our products.
* Build a network of strong relationships with wider business teams, including Product Developers and Planners, allocating appropriate resources for projects and scheduling all work for the writers and editors.
* Manage multiple workstreams, people and budgets to deliver across multiple projects simultaneously.
* Analyse and interpret data outputs from KPIs and customer opinion to improve editorial quality and products.
Desired Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of how commercial writing studios operate and who thrives in managing creative teams and delivering world‑class copy and best‑in‑class creative writing for Games Workshop’s biggest IPs.
