 
        
        Specialty Doctor in Pain Management – Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust
Overview
We are looking for a Specialist Doctor with a focus on Pain Management to join our multidisciplinary team at the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. The role involves delivering high‑quality pain medicine, providing clinical leadership and supervising junior staff, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities
 * Provide expert pain medicine care to patients, including clinical leadership and supervision of junior staff.
 * Maintain accurate patient lists and follow up on new and existing patients, liaising with consultants to learn new techniques or delegate care as appropriate.
 * Improve efficiency of patient care and meet key performance indicators for commissioned pain services.
 * Collaborate with clinicians and managers within and outside the department to address service issues.
 * Work with community teams (e.g., primary care, pharmacists, rehabilitation) across the Integrated Care Board to manage chronic pain.
 * Participate in audit and quality assurance processes.
 * Communicate with local general practitioners regarding patient care.
Qualifications & Experience
 * GP or other Medical practitioner with a special interest in Pain Management.
 * Strong clinical leadership and supervisory skills.
 * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
