Over the last 15 years, my client has grown to become one of the top tile retailers in Northern Ireland. They are a successful family run business offering a vast array of quality tiles and flooring products to both trade and retail customers.
Their long-serving staff openly share their wealth of product and technical knowledge in a friendly yet professional manner within a modern showroom that is designed to guide, showcase and inspire creative solutions that fulfil individual customer needs.
Due to genuine business growth and continued expansion they seek to recruit an experienced Warehouse Operative on a full-time permanent basis.
Responsibilities
* Working in a busy warehouse attached to a retail showroom you will work as part of a small team to carry out the following tasks:
* Goods In / Goods Out, unloading deliveries and restocking warehouse and trade counter
* Stock control and associated checks, including stock management
* Organising warehouse and yard to be tidy and accessible
* Inputting of inward goods documentation onto stock control system
* Reporting shortages and damaged goods – handle paperwork and supplier returns
* Driving forklift (Counter-balance)
* Preparing orders for despatch, ensuring tiles/flooring are loaded correctly/safely onto delivery van or customers’ own transport
* Checking orders are complete before being delivered
* Assist with Sales on the Trade Counter, preparing trade orders for collection and delivery
* Delivery of customer orders using company van
* Build relationships around our busy trade base
Requirements
Applicants should have minimum 2 years warehouse/stores experience with trade counter sales knowledge preferred. Knowledge of tiles, flooring and sanitary ware is preferable but not essential.
You will be physically fit and be willing/able to carry out manual work to include lifting, loading, packing and delivering. Full Driving Licence and FLT licence essential.
You must have a ‘Can Do’ attitude linked to great customer service skills to ensure the customer experience is first class. You will be a confident communicator and be comfortable using a computer to pull picking lists, input orders and accurately update the stock control system.
Terms
Client is offering an attractive starting salary of £26,000 - £30,000, based on your experience and skills, regular pay reviews to reflect business success and reward loyalty. 40 hours per week, 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings working on a rota basis. 28 days holiday, enhanced pension contributions, private medical insurance and free parking.
