About the Role
Reporting directly into senior leadership, this role will lead the Quantity Surveying function across multiple live projects. You'll be responsible for cost planning, estimating, tender management, reporting, procurement, and commercial control, ensuring projects remain financially accurate and commercially successful from start to finish.
This position offers far more than traditional quantity surveying. You'll play a visible role in developing internal systems, improving reporting processes, influencing procurement strategies, and helping establish best-in-class commercial practices across the business.

Your days will look something like this...
* Produce detailed cost plans, estimates, and feasibility assessments for new projects
* Manage cost reporting, forecasting, and cash tracking across multiple live schemes
* Prepare tender documentation, bills of quantities, and contract packages
* Lead tender exercises and evaluate contractor and supplier submissions
* Monitor project budgets and track design or construction changes against forecasts
* Identify value engineering opportunities without compromising build quality
* Support procurement activities and negotiate with contractors and suppliers
* Develop commercial reporting systems that improve transparency and efficiency

* You have Quantity Surveying experience within commercial fit-out, retail, leisure, or hospitality projects
* You have managed project values up to approximately £5 million
* You have strong experience preparing estimates, tenders, budgets, and cost reports
* You understand contractor-side or client-side construction contracts
* You have excellent commercial awareness and strong financial management skills
* You are confident building relationships with clients, contractors, and consultants
* You possess advanced Excel skills and are comfortable creating reporting tools and cost trackers
* You hold a full UK driving licence and are happy visiting project sites when required
