Specialist HR Advisor Nottingham £35,031 - £38,651 per annum Here at NCHA we are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, naturally curious specialist to join the People Team leading on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Workplace Investigations. The Specialist HR Advisor role is a brand new opportunity focusing on 2 key areas: Investigations and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. You will undertake some workplace investigations directly on a range of complex employee relations matters, as well as acting as the guardian for all investigations, whilst coaching and supporting other Investigating Officers. With a genuine passion for equality, diversity and inclusion, you will co-ordinate activity across the organisation, with the goal of supporting NCHA to achieve our diversity targets and ensuring we remain a culturally diverse and inclusive organisation. Your roles and responsibilities will vary day to day but to give you an idea of what to expect, they may look like this: Conduct confidential, fair, thorough investigations into matters including, but not limited to; conduct, bullying, discrimination, harassment and other matters which breach NCHAs code of conduct in a timely, robust and proportionate manner in line with NCHA values, policies and procedures. Present findings in a clear manner which helps the decision makers to understand the key facts and reach a reasonable conclusion/decision. Ensure all aspects of the HR advisory service comply with legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice. Co-ordinate ED&I activity across the organisation including supporting the ED&I Panel Chair and members, supporting Executive Sponsors in their roles and other relevant stakeholders. Support peer groups within NCHA such as the Diverse Heritage Colleague Forum and Diversity Champions. Contribute to achieving the aims of the ED&I strategy and associated action plans. About you You will have experience of working in an HR role and/or equalities role and will be self-sufficient with an ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders including Trade Unions. Your approach will be people centric and you will demonstrate a can do attitude. To be successful in this role you will be: Experienced in conducting and writing investigation findings Experienced at providing robust, professional and pragmatic HR advice Naturally curious with great verbal and written communication skills Analytical with good judgement and excellent attention to detail Experience of working in a multi-faceted organisation Ability to manage and prioritise a busy and varied workload Working Hours Monday - Friday 35 hours per week with 2 - 3 days per week in the office at Clifton.
